Let’s Get Back to School – Trend Old School
Days are shorter than the life of trends these days. They come and they go at the speed of light. And people, without even knowing if it’s for good or bad, keep running this race. But some trends stay with you for long. I really want to thank the person who tried “Old-School” and made it a trend worldwide. A little bit of creativity (read, confidence) and you’re good to go with it. Here are the top four Old School accessories that can pep up your entire look, just by their mere presence.
Box Satchel Bag: Flaunted by celebs on the red carpet and designed by top designers globally, this trend is trickling down. You can find a good range of box satchels at leading fashion brands. I personally like Steve Madden’s neon collection of Box Satchel Bags.
Oxford Shoes: Gaining popularity after 19th century, these styles of shoes are topping the list of hot trends. Oxfords are classy pair of shoes with laces. These were considered under men category, but lately fashionistas from all over the world are seen sporting a pair. Style comes effortlessly as you can team them up with almost everything, be it a skirt, a pair of shorts or your work trousers. I drool over everything glittery and glam, and here also I would recommend this chic pair of Oxfords from Zara.
Grandfather Glasses: They say Geek is the ‘New’ sexy; I would say, It’s effortlessly sexy. All you need is a pair of thick rimmed spectacles. Now who would ever guess that this geek girl is a glam-goddess in disguise? 😉
I would suggest you to look into your grand dad’s closet to save pennies (You would have all the reasons to spend them later)
Suspenders: I still remember my grand-dad going for morning walks. Those comfortable pair of shorts, that cute paunch and (Hello! What’s that?)
The answer to my inquisitiveness is a pair of suspenders. Gone are the days when they were a tool to keep your bottoms in place. Today, it is a part of ‘Serious Fashion’. Be it your work wear or a casual spree, a pair of coloured suspenders adds the required style element. You can get them as a fashion accessory in any local market. I am planning to buy them in Neon Orange.
