The air has a fragrant change to it. Yes, it’s festive season again. Navratri, the festival of Durga is celebrated across the country as the most auspicious nine days of the Indian calendar. And to add to its charm devotees celebrate it in various ways. Garba and Dandiya are two such dance forms that devotees perform during this festival. Today, we bring your way Style ideas that you can use to glam up your Garba look.

Tassle Earrings – Ditch traditional jhumkis or chandbalis and adorn tassle earrings this garba season. Not only are these lighter in weight to make you dance comfortably but these are available in various hues and colours to match each of your outfit perfectly.

Chokers – Divert the attention from plunging necklines of chaniya-Choli and make choker the king of your garba look. Available in a variety of designs and materials, chokers are apt choice to make your garba style, a class apart affair.

P.S. Keep the rest of your look minimalistic to create a balanced look.

Belt Bags – Worried about losing your mobile phones and valuables? No need to carry bulky handbags. Belt bags come to your rescue here as they are light in weight and just the exact size needed for your belongings.

P.S. Add a belt bag over your duppatta and wear it like a waist chain to add a bold and funky statement to your garba look.

You can also choose potli bags if you don’t want to risk the conventional traditional look and wear these as a regular bangles. These will be tied to your wrist and your belongings will be safe and closer to you.

Cuff Bracelets– Bored of your regular Bangles set? Choose metallic cuff bracelets instead. These gel well with every outfit, unlike bangles, where you need to match them with your outfit. Also these are comfortable while dancing as these don’t break unlike glass bangles.

P.S. If choosing metallic cuffs, try choosing other jewellery in similar metal only to give an edgy look.

Anklets – Added enough accessories yet? What about those pair of ankles flashing prettily from that ghagra hem? Add a pair of ethnic anklets to your pedicured feet and you’ve completed your look. Choose either from a variety of traditional heavier pairs or the sleek chain ones, these would add a rhythmic style to your garba look.

P.S. Paint your toe nails bright. And to add more drama you can also add a pair of toe-rings there.
